“The Geopolitical Aesthetic of (Post-)Socialisms” is an interdisciplinary and comparative conference inviting participants to critically assess (post-)socialism as a historical and/or future site that demands further investigation on socialism’s continuous afterlives. Putting in flux the chronological succession of past, present, and future, our usage of post- and late- socialisms draws attention to the geographical and temporal assumptions that mediate, restrict, and expand our collective understanding of the aesthetics and politics of socialism in Russia, China, and beyond
