Justin Jones is an associate professor in the Study of Religion at Pembroke College, University of Oxford. He is an historian of religion in the modern world, with particular reference to Islam, and to comparative religion in the Indian subcontinent. His research focuses on forms of religious revitalization and the remaking of religious authority within modern Islam, with particular reference to South Asia.
