Hilary Vaughn Dobel is a poet, writer, and Spanish-to-English translator with work published in venues like Ploughshares, Boston Review, and the New York Times. She is the translator of Nine Coins by Carlos Pintado (Akashic Books, 2015) and The Clouds by Juan José Saer (Open Letter Books, 2016), which NPR recognized as one 2016's best books in translation. Hilary holds an AB from Princeton University and an MFA from Columbia University. The recipient of fellowships from University of Chicago and the Provincetown Fine Arts Work Center, she is currently in residence in Provincetown as a writing fellow. She is an editor at Circumference: Poetry in Translation and lives in Boston.
