Princetonians Take Home Gold in Tokyo 2021

Goalkeeper Ashleigh Johnson ’17 (left) made 11 saves in Team USA’s 14-5 victory against Spain to win the gold medal. Johnson, who also won gold in this event in 2016, is the first Black woman to represent the United States in Olympic water polo. Brad Snyder (right), a doctoral candidate in the School of Public and International Affairs, won gold in the Paralympic men’s triathlon. Snyder, who previously won five Paralympic gold medals in swimming, is the first American man to win a gold medal in the event.
