Mission
PIIRS is Princeton University’s primary center for international and regional studies. We support cutting-edge research, innovative teaching, collaborative learning, visiting fellows, international networks and dynamic programming. By convening and supporting multidisciplinary centers, programs, and groups of faculty, students and visitors, we aim to foster academic analysis and public engagement around global challenges and regional dynamics.
Global Seminars
Each summer, Princeton students span the globe to explore the international dimensions of their academic interests in six-week courses taught by University faculty. Offering unique insight into faculty research, they make the theoretical tangible through on-the-ground experiences.
Director’s Seminar Series
Global Existential Challenges features panels of Princeton faculty who deliberate core questions from a multidisciplinary and comparative perspective.
Fung Global Fellows Program
The Fung Global Fellows Program brings exceptional international scholars to Princeton for a shared year of research, writing, and collaboration around a common topic.
Undergraduate Minors
PIIRS-sponsored minors inspire students to immerse themselves in a region, learn a new language, and delve into politics and culture.
World Politics Journal
