Given China’s history and current place in the world, the study of contemporary China has never been more important. The Center on Contemporary China (CCC) advances the study of this vital region and provides substantive analysis from social science perspectives of the shifts taking place there through:

  • A lecture series
  • Graduate student workshops
  • An annual PIIRS Global Seminar held in China
  • Postdoctoral research programs
  • Numerous additional research initiatives, including a book series with the Princeton University Press

The intent of the center is to give an institutional home for interdisciplinary collaboration and to bring together faculty and students whose research and work converge.
