Boasting an abundance of cultural and natural resources and home to some of the fastest growing economies in the world, Africa is the continent where our future will be determined. The Program in African Studies (PAS) is a multidisciplinary forum that examines key cultural, historical, political, scientific, and economic issues through:

  • A minor and language study
  • Graduate workshops and lectures
  • Study abroad opportunities
  • Public events and research seminars that explore Africa and its rich culture

Led by a team of cross-disciplinary faculty, the program creates a shared home for those whose work examines the social, environmental, and political issues affecting Africa and the African diaspora today.
