Program in Contemporary European Politics and Society

Program Manager

Focusing on politics, economics, and society in western and central Europe over the past century, the Program in Contemporary European Politics and Society (EPS) takes an interdisciplinary approach to studying the region. Together with its affiliate, the European Union Program, EPS fosters a stronger understanding of Europe through:

  • An undergraduate minor program
  • Language study
  • Regular lectures and panel discussions

With a particular emphasis on current events related to politics, economics, government, and beyond, the program examines how the region’s long history and variety of cultural traditions still shape many European responses to modern predicaments.
