The Program in South Asian Studies is excited to announce that the next meeting of the South Asia Translation Workshop will be a special session with Daisy Rockwell, Booker-prize winning translator from Hindi and Urdu. Participants are invited to try their hand at translating a text of their choice from any South Asian language. Rockwell will workshop each of the translations.
This event is open to experienced or inexperienced translators, graduate students, undergraduates or members of the faculty. RSVP by emailing [email protected] or [email protected] with a chosen text and translation by Wednesday, March 25. Please restrict the text to 200 words or fewer. Virtual participation is also possible on a limited basis; to participate via Zoom, indicate such in the RSVP.
