Princeton alumni connect, celebrate at Reunions 2025

On Friday, May 23, the Princeton Institute for International and Regional Studies (PIIRS) hosted a timely discussion on shifting power dynamics and the future of U.S. foreign policy as part of Princeton University's Reunions. About 25,000 alumni, family, guests, faculty, staff and members of the Class of 2025 gathered over the four days of this year’s celebration, May 22-25.

Mark Beissinger, Henry W. Putnam Professor of Politics, addressed address the ongoing war between Ukraine and Russia. Eva Bellin *92, Myra and Robert Kraft Professor of Arab Politics in the Department of Politics and the Crown Center for Middle East Studies at Brandeis University, analyzed challenges in the Middle East. G. John Ikenberry, Albert G. Milbank Professor of Politics and International Affairs, evaluated prospects for the liberal international order. And Rory Truex ’07, associate professor of politics and international affairs, adddressed shifting U.S.-China relations. The panel was moderated by Deborah Yashar, Donald E. Stokes Professor of Public and International Affairs and executive director of PIIRS. 

Alumni were excited to connect with friends, learn something new and celebrate being together.
