PIIRS launches Japan Lab

The Princeton Institute for International and Regional Studies (PIIRS) announces the establishment of the Global Japan Lab (GJL) to promote and support research, teaching and training on contemporary Japan across multiple disciplines. The GJL operates in collaboration with the UTokyo Center for Contemporary Japanese Studies as part of the Princeton-University of Tokyo Strategic Partnership. James Raymo, professor of sociology and the Henry Wendt III Professor of East Asian Studies, serves as director. The lab looks forward to sharing information about speakers, conferences and other activities at GJL in the 2022-23 academic year.
